Edie and Ella had their 1 year check up with Dr. B yesterday. Good times were had by.....well........NONE! They each got 3 shots.......and they were PISSED!!! They were both happy to show off all their skills......walking, mad crawling, pulling up, climbing, SCREAMING, etc...the doctor was pleased with everything that he saw. He didn't even scold me for still having them on formula and bottles at night.....during the night. They both seem to hate regular milk...personally I think that is a little weird......even though I hate milk. But if I had to choose milk over formula.......have you ever smelled that stuff???
Jon and I were so looking forward to the big switch from formula......it sets us back around 600 bucks a month.....but E Squared had other plans........PSYCH (do we still say that?)!!!
So on with the numbers........first off........remember these little eensy weensy babies???
Yeah well.......neither do I really......they are gigantic!!!
Ella Grace: 19 pounds 10 ounces and 27 3/4 inches long
Edie Claire: 22 pounds 9 ounces and 29 3/4 inches long
Here is what Ella likes to do these days.........on the couch, with the phone......watching Wonder Pets and The Backyardigans.......
Her hair is untameable.....it's frizz frizz frizzy......

I've heard lots of people say you can slowly dilute their formula with milk until they are 100% on milk.
They are adorable! Good to see them thriving!
Love the diaper hat! Too cute!
It is great to hear that they are growing, healty girls! Love the pictures!
Grow babies grow!!!!!
They're starting to look more like toddlers than babies... sigh... it happens too fast!
We did a slow progression to milk- 25-75, 50-50 then 75-25. It seemed to be easier on the belly too!
$600 a month! I don't miss formula days at all!! I was going to suggest adding milk to formula and gradually phase it out.
Sam, My girls had a little issue with switching over too. Here is what our dr. recommended - they were on Similac Admentum (acid reflux girls) so Soy was introduced vs Milk. I would mix a little formula with the soy and little by little add less and less. Soon, they were just on Soy. Then we introduced Milk the same way - adding soy to the milk and then little by little adding less soy to the milk. Abby & Emma to this day LOVE milk! Hope this helps - I know how expensive formula can be!
I love that Ella likes to sit with the phone in hand. LOL!
If it makes you feel any better, my little ones are nearly that big at only 7 months. Sigh. They hardly fit on my lap anymore. Good thing I have a big lap - hahaha!
I have a window for you. Do you still want one? Email me... golfastw@hotmail.com...

So cute! I love the diaper hat - I must fashion one for us, ASAP. My niece hated the milk at first too. My sister would dilute it with formula and switched her gradually. My nephew the same thing - but he seemed to catch on and still didn't want anything to do with it for some time :-)
