7 months.....how did this happen???

Well I have been a bad mommy this week and have totally slacked on snapping pictures -- we (read I) have been busy packing and throwing away a bunch of absolute CRAP. How on earth can 2 people accumulate so much stuff? Of course Jon blames me... and he MAY be mostly right but I'll never admit it. What can I say.......I like stuff. I am far from being a hoarder but I do have way more stuff than I could ever possibly use/need. So anyway needless to say I have NO new pictures for you and for that I am so sorry. I will assure you that Edie and Ella are both cuter than the last time you saw pictures of them........you will just have to take my word for now and I promise to get some cute pics of them very, very soon and put them up here. Since we are entering their seventh month I thought I would share with you 7 fun things I have learned during this time......

1. Babies are adorable. FOR A REASON!
2. Dimpled baby bottoms. Cute.
Dimpled mommy bottoms. Not so much.
3. Some babies just don't sleep through the night. No matter how much you feed them.
4. If a baby hasn't rolled completely over yet by 6 months a sure fire way to make it happen is
to leave them unattended on a bed.
5. The advice keeps coming and gets better and better......
6. Bulb syringe. Not a babies friend.
7. It is not possible to love 2 people more than I love E Squared. It's an unbelievably amazing experience -- one that I was beginning to think I would not be able to have. I feel lucky every day to have these girls. They are so fun and adorable. I hope they know how much they are loved........I sure tell them often!!!

Edie and Ella had a great time yesterday at their very first cross country running meet. Our friend Dante had his last meet of the season so we headed out to watch him strut his stuff. It was a nice day out......fortunately. I usually have a great sense of direction and can be fairly organized......pre babies that is. I feel so scattered and messy nowadays. I was to meet by BFF Keleakai (Ds mommy... well Mom now that he is a cool teenager) at S.pring Lake for the run at 1:30... we finally made it to her at 2:20 because I went to the wrong lake and me, BOB and E Squared ended up walking the bazillion miles (in my 5 dollar Wal Mart flip flops)(which turn out to be quite comfortable) until we found them. The great news is that the girls ran first and we made it in plenty of time to see Dante run.......he came in 10th OVERALL for the entire season.....OUT OF 5 SCHOOLS!!!! Not too shabby if I do say so myself!!!
I had the wonderful idea of painting onesies for E squared to wear in support of Dante......Ella's said Dante and Edie's said Rocks........DANTE ROCKS. So when we FINALLY made it to the race and found Dante we held up the girls to show off their support and shouted out DANTE ROCKS.......well if someone could have told me beforehand that this would embarass the HELL out of an almost 13 year old boy that would have been nice. Sorry Dante!!! That growing up thing happened overnight......So I turned 21 (plus 13) yesterday and this little "embarass the teenager" incident really solidified for me that.........I'M ALL GROWN UP!!! CRAP!!!

Because I know you are a faithful reader I figured this was the perfect place to give a shout out to you......I had every intention of calling you today to wish you a happy day BUT well.......sometimes things get busy around here. I did think of you often though so hopefully that counts........hope you had a great birthday!!! I am lucky to have you as a friend.

Nutritional teethers.......

I recently found some awesome ideas on another blog for things that can potentialy ease the discomfort of sore teething gums. E squared welcomed both with open arms.......
First we tried ice cold sugar free popsicles... well just see for yourself!!!

Then we tried cold whole carrots (on a different day)... again, see for yourself...

I often wonder these days how 2 people can get so lucky!!! After all the waiting and heartache we have been blessed with 2 of the most amazing beings ever born. They are adorable and sweet and growing too quickly. They love to play (especially at night) and scoot and roll and laugh. We love to stare at them and kiss them and smell them. We count our lucky stars EVERY DAY!!!

Extreme Makeover!!!

Ella Grace got a makeover......well just a new hairstyle but who needs makeup when you have such a sweet face. Right?

Or not........Ella HATES it when Edie touches her...I couldn't get the full effect in the picture but most of the time when Edie touches Ella she will just scream and Edie laughs.....to the point of needing to be separated.........what are we in for???

They both LOVE to chew on anything and everything.....especially ribbons and string....even if attached to the other end of the string is a big ole smelly "daddy" shoe..........

Again........as long as she is happy. Right?

Ready! Set! "I'm getting ready to go"!.........Edie will be crawling any time now......she gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth and gets up on her tip toes.........
