Lovin the springtime weather!!!!!

I know...I know... post overload!!! But I have taken so many pictures over these last 2 weeks and some of them MUST be shared.......and since I had a half month hiatus I guess I need a little catch up.....
We were pleasantly surprised when we woke up this morning to find a stunning day waiting for us.......we played outside this afternoon and had dinner outside after cooking everything on the grill.......

And Ella wondering what on earth possessed me to think she would be even remotely interested in eating roasted turnips...

Edie and Ella both LOVE to wave and they do it ALL! THE! TIME!......it's quite adorable. Edie can actually say bye bye too.

We are leaving tomorrow night...for a vacation!!!!!! Edie and Ella are turning on Friday...O!N!E! people......wha? when? how???

We are going to Alabama to have some fun with Jons side of the family and at the tail end will have some fun with my side in Atlanta.......good times!!!

We will be back the 23rd.......and I will update then with LOTS and LOTS of pictures......unless I can get to a computer and have the time to post while I am there.......I will try though!!!!

Reminiscing over blueberry waffles.........

This time last year I was pushing my way over the top of 100 kg... for those of you who don't know the conversion to that please don't look it up.......for those that do.......zip your mouths...my weight is not the issue here! There actually is no issue here....other than the fact that my babies are turning O!N!E!!!!!!!!!!!! 9! days! from! now! This has been, by far, the most amazing year of my life. It is so cliche to say that the time flies.......but man it sure does! It is baffling...it seems like yesterday that I was talking on the phone with my doctor trying to decide when to schedule the delivery and now here we are with a really fast walker/runner and a clingy crawler/puller upper. Good times people! Good times!!! I just can't put into words the love and emotion that I have for these girls........you mommies out there know that feeling...again cliche!!! They are fun fun fun........it's awesome to watch a little tiny human.......as a blank slate learning how to lift their little heads. Then rolling over. Then pushing up on their arms. Then sitting up. Then pulling up. Then crawling. Then walking. Then.........well you get the drift..........and it's fast man. I'm talking from one day to the next they have acquired a new skill!...kinda like me with my awesome punctuation..............!!

"all I want for my birthday is an orthodontist........." here is Edie eating her favorite breakfast of waffles...this morning of the blueberry variety and some delicious fresh strawberries and mango.........yum yum!!!

the only time Edie can be held and snuggled is when she is tired.......so here she is with her favorite guy......DADDY!!! This was this morning when daddy came home from work.......they were both pooped..........

Thanks to my good friend Kristen for keeping track of my lack of posting. We have been boringly busy around here....except for last week. We had our niece Brianna here from Alabama to help pick out some things to spruce up this house...she has fabulous taste unfortunately I do not have a fabulous budget! We did find an awesome sofa and some other things......and she gave me a slew of ideas. Turns out I am fairly tacky!
I had a baby shower for 2 of my coworkers Sunday.....our unit is plum full of pregnant ladies and husbands of pregnant ladies. Here is Edie and Ella having some fun in the leftover wrapping paper/tissue...
So before you call child protective services about these next pictures.....just know that Ella did not have any wine in her glass.

Sorry for the lack of updates...it is so busy around here and any time that something extra is thrown in (ie...an out of town visitor, baby shower, etc...) our routine falls apart and I don't have ANY extra time...next week we are heading to Alabama for a special party........can you believe it??? In 11, well 10 now, days our awesome blue eyed beauties will turn 1......baffling!!!

It has been brought to my attention that I haven't posted anything since last week.....SORRY!!! It's just been a little boring around here. The rain.......man the rain! We haven't gotten out much and some days we didn't even change out of our pjs. (Notice the tiny toe peeking out of the big fat hole....we threw these pjs away that day even though I hated to because they were my favorite!)
Some days we ate M & Ms.............

But today......we went out. It was 65 and sunny, daddy was playing golf and we went SHOPPING!!! First we went to Costco....we like it there because the shopping carts hold 2...

Then we headed over to Marshall's for some sunglass modeling......now how on earth are you supposed to know if the glasses look good with that HUGE sensor right between your eyes???

Phew....all that shopping can wipe some girls out.......

We met T!W!O! brilliant people while we were out too........

In the parking lot of Costco a lady stopped while I was loading them into the basket and asked..."are those twins?"....I said "yes they are".....she said............BRACE YOURSELVES PEOPLE!!!!......... she said.... "are they both yours?" Now this one may top all others!!!

In Marshalls a lady said "oh how cute. twins!"......."a boy and a girl"........I said "no no they are both girls"........she said "hmm that's unusual isn't it?" .......I said "what do you mean".....because seriously what the hell could she mean right?..........she says....."because aren't most twins boy/girl?"...........

Edie is on the move.....she walks EVERYWHERE!!! She seems to love to just walk and walk and walk all around the house. She usually carries something when she walks.....ie....cordless or cell phone, toy crab, etc....it's pretty amazing......last week she started shuffling here and there...just a few steps at a time. Now she is walking way more than she crawls...and just as with everything else......she has places to go people!!!

Fun in the Town Green.......

E Squared and I went out for some fun in the sun today. We headed down to the Town Green here in Windsor, CA.....and had a nice afternoon. We started with lunch. We tried a new vietnamese place...new to us not the town! I *heart* Vietnamese food!!! And it turns out Edie and Ella are quite fond of it as well.........see for yourself.......
Not only is Ella fond of vietnamese cuisine......she is also a big fan of people watching...it was hard to get her to look at the camera...

Then we walked across the street to the park. I was disappointed that there were no "twin swings"....or any swings at all for that matter......what kind of park doesn't have a swing? Anyway..since they are waaaaayyyyy to small for the other park toys......we all plopped down in the bark.......they also did not have sand... but that turned out to be a good thing for two reasons. 1.) sand gets hot!

2.) sand would have been alot harder to dig out of a babies mouth than bark!
